We dont do thanksgiving here, but my fav xmas ones are of when we were small kids and the family all came camping close to our house and we would be there at the camping site a lot, running around and getting DIRTY. It was like a contest of who can be the dirtiest between all the cousins. And going to the beach and swimming in the sea and getting really tired, just to come home to eat some cookies and tea...mmm you're giving me ideas for blog posts now!
Oh gosh I couldn't imagine going swimming at Christmas time. *TOO COLD* :)
That's a fun story. :)
Chrismas here is HOT!!!!! Peak summer... so all the fake snow and pine tress in the malls are REALLY fake... not cool!!!
Hee hee. I can't imagine a hot Christmas.
"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know." Guess you never knew a white Christmas. :D
One of my most interesting Thanksgiving memories is when we lived in the Philippine Islands back in the 70's. It was typhoon season and we went through a tough one that took out our electricity and water and then the gas went too. We had jello and chips and pie for Thanksgiving day dinner as we had nothing we could cook with. The half done turkey went in the trash as we did not have electricity for a week after that.
Not the best, but really a "fun" memory for how we made do in the middle of a typhoon.
