Upcoming Post

I am going to be working on my full background story. I told a very abbreviated version when I began my blog. I wanted to share with you a more complete picture. I wish I could share with you every detail of every symptom prior to diagnosis, but I can't remember bits and pieces of them. So stay tuned for my pre-diagnosis story.

Hi I am a journalism student and I am currently constructing a blog about Lyme disease. I couldn't find a way to contact you directly so I hope you don't mind me leaving my message here. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about your blog. I would like to know more about what it is like becoming a public figure with Lyme and what your experience has been having a very public forum to discuss your journey with the disease. If you are interested please e-mail me Lyme.girl@hotmail.com

Hi Jennifer ~ funny thing happened early this morning in my dreams. I had my PICC line back in and my arm was swollen and red in one area. I had a couple doctors look at it and they agreed something was wrong. Just before I woke up, the doctor was starting IV antibiotics ... then I woke up. Such a huge wave of relief swept over me and I felt so blessed to have 18 months of PICC free life behind me! YAY! Then, I recalled the way my arm looked in the dream and thought, "That's the way my arm looked with the vein clotted off. IKES!" **sigh** So happy I don't have to deal with that any more. I am feeling very grateful and blessed today. :-) Just thought I'd share ...hope you are having a great day!

Lyme Girl, I'll get back to you soon.

Kara, what a dream! I still get bumps near where my picc line was inserted. It's very frustrating. I get them about 12 to 15 times a month. Sometimes 2 or 3 at a time. And those are just when I see the bumps. I know I get them at night too when I'm sleeping.
