Ten years ago today, a huge snow storm hit our state. The weather was so bad that we couldn't leave our subdivision for almost a week. We tried to leave 3 days after it started, but we couldn't and I was devastated. Every birthday the past few years, I had seen snow. Unbeknownst to me, the neighbors set up a surprise party for me. They wrapped up a few trinkets they had lying around their own home and made me a birthday cake. This week was the week that bonded our neighborhood.
